New symptoms all every week
« on: August 05, 2025, 01:31:51 AM »

Hi im in perimenopause and have been going through this for about 8 years. The symptoms seem to be getting worse and it feels like each week is something different. My anxiety is high my moods are grumpy and I wanna cry all the time. But each week I have a different issue whether it's feeling like I cant breathe to headaches to tiredness to feeling hot all the time. When I get my period im ok....then it starts again with something new or a repeat of something I've felt before. I truly feel miserable and have convinced myself im dying even though I know im not. I just wondered if anyone else had felt like this.

Hello Mrs Cowboy,

Sorry to hear you are suffering. Yes can totally relate to what you describe. It's bad enough getting symptoms on repeat but then new ones arrive and they appear on repeat too. It's exhausting. X

Yep.  We have a thread on the Forum about something new every day, when I remember the title I'll bump it.

MayB keeping a mood/food/symptom diary will help chart progress especially the better days.  What R your periods up to, how old might U B?

My periods are still fairly regular but dont last as long ...only about 3 days. I turned 50 this year so I guess menopause will start soon.

Yes, absolutely, I think I've possibly had every symptom typical of perimenopause except for the most common, hot flashes. I've been to A&E so many times thinking my heart was about to explode or that I was about to die.

I only began to very slowly and progressively see my worst symptoms diminish once I started HRT but it's been almost two years and still haven't found my dose nor have my symptoms completely gone, however I can say they've improved a lot, at least the most alarming ones.

I remember how scared I was. Sorry you're having such a rough time as well, I hope you find the way to deal with all this that's best for you soon.

I’m with you on this one as well. What symptom will I wake up with tomorrow  ::)
Are you on any HRT?

I must admit I felt a LOT worse before I went on HRT but my symptoms haven’t completely gone away, just probably the worst ones like feeling like I have an awful illness and will drop at any minute. I’ve also been to A&E in the past as I was breathless and had pains in my back and shoulder blade.

My daily ones now seem to be itchiness down there, dry straw like hair that breaks off in the shower, anxiety, fast beating heart, dry throat and not being able to sleep properly without waking several times a night.

Sorry you are also feeling like this, men don’t have it half as bad and they’ll never understand what we go through x

I tried to find the 'what we have diagnosed today' thread without success  :-\.  Men don't have it easier if they live with a menopausal woman ;-)

I'm not on HRT right now. I don't know when I'll be able to start that. I moved to the US 2 years ago and im still waiting to get my social number etc so until I get that I cant go on hubby's insurance so cant get treated by a Dr.
