Should be getting better after a week, perhaps an infection and the need for antibiotics if it carries on.

U would know if it was dry socket. Did your Dental Surgeon offer any ABs or pain relief? Is there a nasty taste in the mouth which isn't blood related?
Always worse on a weekend
Get some pain relief down you and if in town ask a Pharmacist for advice about what combinations U can take and how often.

What advice did they give about aftercare? Call them and ask if they can check for infection or dry socket. Nothing worse than tooth pain.

They gave me a print out for after care and called the following day to see how I was doing...they said i will be in pain as it was a difficult extraction that was 5 days ago...maybe I'm.just being impatient...
Just with the pain and lack of sleep and it's not been a week since I did the final withdrawal dose of pregabalin..the anxiety has crept in making me feel yuck.

Did the aftercare info mention warm/hot salt water rinse? That's always my go to if I get any tooth pain and have found it very effective. I think it's supposed to draw out any tentative infection or prevent infection.

Hi...
I have been to the dentist today and I have a mild infection and dry socket...so that's why it's been so painful...they packed it with antiseptic and i have had some relief..been very sleepy and adrenaline rush when I wake up as been asleep on the sofa..damn anxiety was triggered so will have to wait for that to settle now...
I have been doing salt rinse also...so fingers crossed

Glad you got that sorted!
I remembered after posting that I had a tooth out and the dentist broke part of my jaw, my goodness that was awful pain but it took over a week to settle down with pain killers and the warm salt water rinse.
