Womb scan....mystery??
« on: July 26, 2025, 12:59:53 PM »

Hi all
So please go gentle as I've just lost Mr Dad and my 6 year old niece recently it's been so tough.
So much so that I've forgotten to take my provera and have a bleed ....when I looked back in diary my last bleed was 7 months ago! Now I always have 4 monthly internal scans in London always clear.
So my issue (if it is) the last scan said my womb lining was 10mm
Yesterday it was only 11mm.
Afger all that time?
The Dr guy said as we get older the lining thins out on its own nothing to worry over.
But I know I've left it say 5 months before now and it's gone to say 15mm.
I'm on the combined pill back to back also 100 everol (Dr's orders)
Pill never been a problem
I have noticed pinky blood sometimes on my ladies liner and have read many pages that say the pill can especially have its own little shed if left too long. My mood is goid, no night sweats.
Been on 100mg only since 3 -, 4 weeks ago from 90.
This pinky blood thing doesn't happen often and I told the sonoggrapher he said yes it she'd a bit sometimes ....just don't leave it too long in between.
Please ladies .....it's not that I'm not absorbing is it? Patch always been great .
I've got blood test Monday.
I've also been having alot of fatigue lately but this came after I tried the b12 injection x5 which every Dr has agreed has caused it as I was fine before....I'm going through a withdrawal you see from an antidepressant since Dec and we are warned by NHS that b12 can cause problems especially more anxiety in ppl with withdrawal.....boy they were right. As I tried the tablet form in .March.....lots of fatigue, crying spells.
Done it again this time but worse as my b2 has shot up too high fir me. We are told to start low but I didn't.
I just need reassurance that it's the pill doing the odd small shedding and that yhe fatigue is from too hogh b12 as all consultants have absolutely no doubt about.
Please be kind....vicky xxxxx

"I'm on the combined pill back to back also 100 everol (Dr's orders)"

This is really concerning.

It is not advisable to take menopause hormone therapy in addition to the combined pill.

The dose of estrogen in birth control is far higher than in MHT, so essentially this is like flying a jumbo jet and flapping your arms as well.

However the progestin in the combined pill has (probably) been strong enough to carry the additional estrogen from the patch, particularly since you are taking the pill back to back, hence your lining has remained static.

I would really, really suggest seeing a menopause specialist though because the two treatments are not intended to be used concurrently and you could potentially run into trouble over the longer term.
