U will know instantly if it's neuralgia. In the 1990s I had weeks of sudden, intense pain in the L cheek which would floor me. No medication worked, I had to ride it out.
When I had intensive oral surgery 3 years ago it triggered the nerve for 3 months but fortunately no where near as painful.
In recent months that area has niggled

my periods waxed and waned for a few years B4 they finally disappeared = menopause. In hindsight many of my anxiety symptoms and forgetting things were peri but a) I was unaware of this stage and b) as my anxiety has been problematic since age 3, we treated it appropriately.
