progestrone
« on: July 12, 2025, 02:39:07 PM »

Gp has sent me a script for 5mg of medroxy, following a phone chat in May re my hystoscope. To take along side my Evorol conti patches. What other types of progesterone are there as i do not want to take tablets. What do other ladies use along side patches to add extra progesterone, do not really want a coil either.

Utrogestan or cyclgest inserted vaginally would be a more effective, gentle to you and sensible, but medroxyprogesterone is really cheap.

When my doctor asked me to trial it for ten days the prescription gave me 10 months worth of provera, all going out of date 4 months from the date of issue!!!

That just shows how much of it is floating about unwanted by women, still pushed by GPs as something that is beneficial for a small minority who are indifferent to progestins, so they try it on everyone even though up to 20% will feel suicidal.
