Question on vagifem please.
« on: July 08, 2025, 11:08:56 AM »

Hello Ladies.
I was using vagifem twice as week as directed by the Dr, since February, and, while it seems have kept UTI's at bay, it't not doing anything else.
Last Monday my Dr increased it to daily use.
I'm wondering how long it takes to work.
I am on HRT as well.
Thank you.

Fairly quickly, hopefully.  We can use this every night for ever if required.

Hello  :)
Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks for telling me you can use it daily.
My Dr said to try nightly for a month.
I've been on it a week already.
I'm wondering whether to go on prasterone/interosa or to wait till my new oestrogen and testosterone doses dose kick in more, as they was only increased last week as well.

Hello again 🙂
It's not that I am swapping products, my dr has given me vagifem and estriol cream. Vagifem for inside and estriol for the outer. 🙂

I was prescribed Vagifem for symptoms relating to prolapse, urgency etc and aches caused by dryness (I have Sjorgrens Syndrome which dries everything out in addition to menopause lol). I have to say its been great - I'm not getting the urgency anymore and I've noticed the internal dry 'ache' I used to get has gone. I would say it took a few weeks before I noticed. That's twice a week application.

Just to add Vagifem & Estriol can take up to four months to relieve symptoms of GSM and then a year to be completely symptom free and that's with constant use.
