Thank you Joziel, I asked my GP about Zoely but she said it's not on the Formulary for my area so she is unable to prescribe it. So I guess I would need to go private for that?

Yes, you could go private for it. I've no idea what it would cost, privately. But you likely wouldn't need an expensive menopause consultant etc, you should be able to see a private GP in your area and get Zoely that way....

There is another pill called Qlaira which is also body identical estrogen and synthetic progestin but I think it changes the amount of each dependent on where you are in the cycle. Some people like that, some people don't. It seems to be less used than Zoely which is a stable amount each day, anyways.

As someone else who is on the COCP continuously for menstrual suppression (I take Zoely) I would recommend a monophasic pill like Zoely rather than a multiphasic pill such as Qlaira.

The chaotic dosing of Qlaira is designed to replicate a menstrual cycle, which is the thing you are taking it to avoid.

Zoely gives you a nice stable dose which is the same every day, and I don't bleed at all on it (I throw the 4 yellow dummy pills away).

Thanks Bombsh3ll, yes I wondered about the dummy pills and would look to do the same. Waiting for a phone appointment with a local private meno doctor now!
