Histamine intolerance
« on: June 10, 2025, 09:21:57 AM »

I would really be grateful for some help. I am going mad with continuous ectopic beats that have got worse as I try and increase the oestrogen gel. I have tried patches, spray, and it just makes it all worse.

I have the gene mutation MTHFR and I was wondering if my sensitivity to oestrogen could be histamine intolerance? I have tried to find a practitioner to go and see and came across Tina Peers but she is not taking on patients – don’t really seem to be able to locate her anyway. I was just wondering if anyone else can make any recommendations?

Also, has anybody had this and can give me any information?

Many thanks, as ever.

How R U increasing the replacement?  Every night mayB too much too early, so keeping to 1 dose and adding a little extra a few times a week may ease you into feeling better. It will depend on what your periods are up to.

Hi Happeechic,
I've arrived here at this forum because of histamine intolerance.
Something I've found hugely helpful with the palpitations/arrhythmia and ectopic beats has been hawthorn (leaf and flower) tea. I alternate with Linden/Tilia flowers,  but drank every morning for six weeks straight. Now just a couple of times a week. I'm also taking Ashwaghanda before bedtime. It's helped tremendously. I was suffering every night in the early hours and now only on a rare occasion.
I don't know if that can be helpful to you.
I also am a huge fan of nettles- tea,  soup,  pesto etc. If you harvest your own,  just take the fresh tips (top 4-6) leaves,  and only harvest young nettles. Not the right time of year now... Well- not where I live.
Obviously,  lowering histamine using diet and boosting B12, Zinc, L-glutamine, DAO(I eat pea sprouts),quercetin, vitamin C, omega 3's etc.
I hope this info might be of some use to you 🙏✨️

I believe I may have that gene as well as my liver detox pathways appear to struggle to dispose of circulating oestrogen. This then causes high cortisol (tachycardia and physical anxiety) that is tightly knitted to volatile oestrogen levels - explained by Chat GPT.

For some of us, oestrogen HRT will make symptoms worse.
