Does anyone wear petticoats anymore? My Mum always did. Not sure you can even buy them now 🤷♀️

If U need, have a look in charity shops or at companies such as DAMART though it costs a lot for a phone call order. Half slips were common too. M&S?

Thanks CLKD, l have no need. I was just wondering about them as someone in a radio play mentioned their petticoat and l realised that they just didn’t seem to be about these days.

Mum had both full and waist slips depending on what she wore, dress or skirt. Granny always wore an apron, remember those, with a bib and large pockets.

You can still buy them. I had to get one to stop a particular dress from sticking to my tights last winter. They are called slips nowadays though.

I wear half slips with dresses that are a bit cool to wear, in Summer no problem but if I want to wear the dress in Autumn or Winter a half slip helps to keep me warm and with the benefit that it helps the dress to hang better.

My slips for under dresses are from Marks, keep me cool too.
Very slinky.
