Evorel vs Estraderm, your thoughts?
« on: June 04, 2025, 07:15:54 AM »

Hi, having used Evorel for a few months and a significant reduction in menopause symptoms, I was handed Estraderm 100 this time, the pharmacy didn't have Evorel. But Estraderm patches fall off, only ever half stick, it's like trying to make a bit of crisp packet stick to my skin; and in the 4 weeks I've been using them the symptoms have returned.

Has anyone else noticed Estraderm is an inferior model, or am I imagining it. (Not the lack of stickiness, that's just a fact)

I've sent you a message Aubrey.

Yes, Estraderms are notorious for not sticking. I researched the various patches when I couldn't get Estradots and that was the consistent feedback. You could try putting some Tegaderm tape over them to stick them on...

I've had to use estraderm since the estradot shortage and I'm allergic to evorel. I find them 💩. I use tattoo film to stick them down,  much cheaper than tegaderm and seems to do the job but it's still noticeable how much less I get from them than from estradot.

So, I wasn't imagining it then..why do they bother producing such an inferior product.  :o

I never had any issues with Estraderm sticking.
I always wash bum cheek with simple soap in the shower, rinse well then towel dry thoroughly, apply and hold down in place for 30 seconds. Mine used to stick like super glue with that method. 👍

With the estradot shortage(seems there’s a few suffering with this) - I tried evorel, it’s hard to say for certain but they don’t suit me.  Had some old estraderm in the drawer so testing these. I’ve halved the patch as it’s sooo big! And have one on each cheek 🤣. I’m looking at the gel now/femseven/Progynova TS
. Can’t keep swapping when it’s out of stock
