Oestrogen level
« on: May 24, 2025, 02:50:44 PM »

I have just checked my NHS app and my serum oestradiol level is 93pmol/L is this low for someone on HRT? I am currently on half a patch of evorel conti and have had more spotting (I  went through the 2ww ultrasound/hysteroscopy/biopsy and had a polyp removed 4 weeks ago) I also had blood work done which is where the serum oest result comes from.

Yes it's low but you're on a very low dose of oestrogen so perhaps unsurprising. If the prog in the conti patch isn't sufficient you could change to an oestrogen only patch and separate prog. How thick was your lining?

Thicker than it should be, not sure what it was, this was why they did a biopsy when they removed the polyp. Do you think increasing the patch to a full one would help? Or ask to change altogether?

I think you should be on at least 50mcg (full patch), you may need more than that to get your levels up to 300. As the progestogen in the patch isn't enough to keep the lining thin it would be better to change to a separate one which you can increase if you have to. Your levels are lower than they need to be for bone protection.

Does anyone know what your level should be post menopause? Mine are less than 88 and getting horrible palpitations, but no one has told me what level I should be aiming for. Many thanks.

Can you get your progesterone levels checked through a NHS blood test?
I will make an appointment with the GP this week to ask to change although I still feel that don’t take HRT seriously - I had a real fight to get it!🤞🤞🤞
