I’m a fit 71 year old woman, I had a full hysterectomy in 2009, I didn’t take HRT, until 2019, as I had night sweats, bone aches, moods etc, I was put on patches but found my body didn’t absorb well so went onto to tablet form of Estradiol I’ve been on them for about 4years, I think, it has helped a lot everything disappeared, I then had a hip replacement in 2023, again all went well, back to my activities, but I can’t budge my weight around the middle I’ve gained a stone and nothing I do will shift it. I had a blood test and the results came back with a reading of serum oestradiol 498pmol/L, I’ve been asked to see my go, not sure if the levels are low or high, the only symptoms I’m getting is feeling bloated sometimes and rare hot flushes.
