How to measure smaller doses of estrogel
« on: April 25, 2025, 10:57:26 PM »

Hi ladies. I've been on 1 pump of estrogel every day (for mood swings) but I have thin skin and looks like I'm a super absorber because my estrogen levels are sky high. I need to decrease to 3/4 pump for a week, then 1/2 pump. Any tips on how to do this more accurately than just pump out one pump onto a plate and approximating 3/4 of it visually? Thank you 😊

I use jewellers scales, just a cheap set from amazon. You could either pump a full pump and then just use 3/4 of it or you might find you get used to the amount dispensed and can manage to just pump the amount needed.

I bought them when I realised the pump was dispensing a different amount each time I used it so don't be surprised if you find each full pump weighs a different amount. It's not you!!

Thanks so much! I found a new 1ml plastic syringe so might try that too 😁

You might find it easier to cut down a 25 mcg patch. Estraderm are enormous so might be a good option  if you wanted to change (100 patch is 7cm).
