Skin biopsy, after care
« on: April 25, 2025, 05:58:31 PM »

Hi all,
I have had a skin biopsy for a spot that won't go away on my chin. It's over 24 hours but tonight my whole face feels tingly. There's no rash so I don't think it's a reaction, plus it's quite a while after for that.
Assuming it's just how it is but it's driving me mad! Anyone been in this situation and have any advice? I suffer with anxiety so trying not to panic.
Thanks.

There R a lot of small nerves in the facial area - did U have a local to numb the face, it mayB the injection wearing off.

MayB try tapping it gently to dissipate the sensations.

Would pain relief ease symptoms ?  Or an anti-histamine?

Sounds like it's just the nerves reacting after the local. I had something similar after a procedure, and it felt all tingly and weird too. Totally normal, but if it's bugging you, maybe tap the area lightly or try a pain reliever if it’s bothering you that much. Don’t stress too much, your skin’s just being dramatic!
