I started swimming recently and it has really dried my hair and skin. I was getting intense itching afterwards, all over. I now make sure my skin is well moisturised the night before with coconut oil, which, although it gets washed off the next morning, it may help a bit. But the game changer has been applying a body butter and using hair mask after showering after swimming. I would think any good body moisturiser would have the same effect. You can buy specific products that you apply beforehand but they are very expensive and some of the recommended ones I looked at only contained things like coconut and olive oil anyway.
