Has anyone used this cream and then developed a swollen knee?
I don’t have any pain, I haven’t injured it. I also had a swollen ankle on the same leg but that has gone. I’ve been doing the RICE protocol and putting my leg up as much as possible. I’ve read that it can be a side effect of the cream.
My knee isn’t inflamed. I can walk normally and bend my knee.

Nope.  VA treatment isn't supposed to infiltrate the rest of the body.  Where did U read that it may be a side-effect?

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  The body may become dry: inside and out.  mayB show the affected limb to a pharmacist?

CLKD I thought that too but it mentioned that swelling of joints could be a side effect according to good old google.
I will speak to a pharmacist this week.
It’s possibly arthritis as my knees aren’t as good as they used to be.

Dr GOOGLE don't know nowt!  Is there anything in the leaflet in the box?  Do let us know as all info is helpful.

I googled estriol vaginal gel. I know we shouldn’t do that but I just wanted to see if it could be a side effect.

If I hadn't Googled I would never have found this website and the amazing advice therein, nothing wrong with Googling as long as you keep an open mind about what you are reading.

Blissel is one of the lowest dose of topical oestrogens and I can't see how it would cause the side effects you mention, unless you are super sensitive to any of the ingredients but highly unlikely, but I am not medical!
I would look at other causes as to why you are experiencing these symptoms.

It possible you've injured your leg without realising or noticing anything at the time. I often discover bruises and have no recollection of banging into things.

Having said that, as it's a swelling in your leg, I would get it checked out by your GP just to be on the safe side.

Saw my physio today. She examined my leg and was certain my knee swelling is arthritis. No sign of redness and I’m not in pain. After doing some exercises with me she has suggested I rest it and ice it as much as possible and take anti inflammatory tablets.

I also spoke to a pharmacist and he said that most types of vaginal oestrogen
can have the lesser known side effect of fluid retention.
