Has anyone used Hyalofemme?
« on: March 31, 2025, 05:10:01 PM »

Hi has anyone used hyalofemme before? My GP gave me it instead of ovesten and replens but suddenly I’ve developed constipation and noisy wind! I’m wondering if there’s a connection?

Is there a reason you are no longer using the Ovestin, Hyalofemme is merely a moisturiser but you may be allergic to one of the ingredients.
I have to admit though I have never heard of this product.

Thanks for replying Ayesha. I didn’t ask to stop ovesten and replens my GP just replaced them when I put in a repeat prescription. It says it is as effective as oestrogen cream and is also a moisturiser but it stings like mad and seems coincidental my issues started the same time as taking it. I’ll go back to GP and ask to go back to originals.

Such a curious thing for your GP to do, switching from a hormone based treatment to a moisturiser to treat GSM (Vaginal Atrophy).

The only effective treatment for vaginal atrophy has been to replace the lost oestrogen with topical HRT, I would be very interested if any other member here has heard of hyalofemme and does it work.
