Has Testogel been discontinued?
« on: March 18, 2025, 09:28:05 AM »

Hello all,

I’m just wondering if Testogel has been discontinued? I’ve been using it for the last two years as part of my perimenopause HRT but it has suddenly disappeared from my repeat prescription list. I queried it and was asked by my GP surgery to go in to discuss my medications.

I’ve seen that ASDA online doctors are selling boxes of 39 sachets for £54 and tried to purchase but was refused on the grounds that I wasn’t transgender, even though I had submitted my GP surgery details and explained that I’ve been prescribed it for the past two years.

Does anyone know if there are alternatives on the market? I’m terrified of my symptoms returning!

No, it is still available. Perhaps it is a change in procedures at your GP practice. You should have an annual blood test anyway to make sure you remain within female physiological levels, so perhaps it's that. I would see what the surgery has to say.
