Gepretix new information
« on: March 04, 2025, 12:28:06 PM »

I have just been sent this by my private meno specialist, thought I'd share.

Gepretix is the commonly used alternative to Utrogestan that many GP surgeries prescribe.

Gepretix contains the equivalent dose of micronised progestogen to Utrogestan and can be safely used instead of Utrogestan orally.

However, Gepretix has not been confirmed as safe for vaginal use due to its different capsule. It is important to ensure you are using a safe form of progesterone for your treatment to protect the lining of the womb.

If you are currently using Gepretix vaginally, please contact your GP to request to change back to Utrogestan.
