left evorel patch in car, is it ok?
« on: February 20, 2025, 12:59:33 AM »

I ran out of evorel only patches because one wouldn't stick.

So I searched high and low to find another while waiting on pharmacy.  I'm out with family tomorrow so cannot get to pharmacy quickly.

I found one a bit flattened at the back of the dashboard compartment.  Best before 28th Feb 2025.  Just a bit worried as when I opened it, it was a bit stuck to the silver backing.

Anyway I've put it on.  Meanwhile I got lucky and found another one in a cupboard that is well within date and not squashed.

Take that one off and put the newer one on?  I need to sleep tonight and have no issues

but don't want to waste a perfectly good patch.  I'm not feeling brilliant this week and I have been flushing in the face at night which is the first time ever, hence my deliberations over it.  I really don't need a bad night and I sleep well on evorel.

Am I over thinking it?  ;D :-\ :'(

still awake.  Flushed.  Guts gurgling away.

all this month only, had estradot part way through before back to evorel.

Low estradiol?  Seemed to start when had to use estradot a week ago.

I shouldn't be flushed in the face when I've got a good estradiol patch on (I did change to the newest one), unless it's no longer enough?

Only other possible explanation is I had estraderm on beforehand (again because of a shortage on evorel which I'm used to) and also it was partly peeled off.  So a delayed reaction to that?

It could be switching brands of patch that is causing the issues.  Estramon don't have a great reputation.  I found they didn't stick as well as other brands so when they don't stick properly they are not delivering the correct dose.  I found Evorel better than estradot.

Thanks Grace, that's interesting.

And anyone else, the facial flushing has continued all this month, starting at around 11pm and lasting about an hour.

This is new.  Been on Evorel 50 up to now, think it's possible I'm requiring a more standard 100 dose?  I'm booked into see the GP and I'll ask about it.
