Evorel Sequi
« on: February 17, 2025, 01:40:49 PM »

Hi everyone!
My first post so please bear with me if I make any mistakes.
I’ve recently started on Evorel Sequi patches. I’ve done the first two weeks of the Evorel patch and yesterday I swapped to the other patch in the pack which I’m to continue on for the next two weeks.
I’ve been really nervous about the 2nd patch as I’ve heard some horror stories about the side effects.
My question really is has anyone used this patch and NOT had any horrible side effects? The last thing I want is to suffer from (more) anxiety and low mood. I haven’t noticed a huge difference the first two weeks but I completely understand that I shouldn’t really expect to until I’ve given it a few months to settle into using HRT.
I’m 40. I’m assuming I’m peri-menopausal. I’ve not had periods for around 15 years (yes, really!) although I’ve been on some form of oral contraception since at least my early 20’s but didn’t even get a withdrawal bleed when on microgynon. My doctor(s) have never really been able to explain why my periods stopped so young.
I’m still taking Desogestrel as a form of contraception.
The past year I’ve had random spells of irregular bleeding / spotting / clots which is very unusual for me.
I get brain fog, agitation, my hair has thinned massively the past few years. I sleep every night like a log and have never had night sweats (well - I did used to get night sweats but I put this down to palpitations due to anxiety but since being on propranolol for this I don’t get night sweats any more)
I’m just looking for some feel-good stories about Evorel Sequi to hopefully ease my anxiety about using the patches.
Thanks!

GPs/health providers  >:(  ::)

 :welcomemm:  no one is 2 young for peri-menopause.  Have the irregular bleeding been checked with a scan to see what the womb lining might be?

Brain fog etc. are 'common' in peri  ::).  If I make a list for shopping and leave it on the kitchen table that's it: all if 4gotten.  Years ago I would be able to remember what I had written.

Glad that the Propranolol is working well 4 U.  It helped me for several years!

It's easy to pre-empt treatment side effects which is why some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use, to chart progress.  It mayB a case of going through 3 cycles to see how your body reacts.  U mayB absolutely fine!
