Hair is certainly affected by stress of which hormones may be part of the problem.

Which symptom would you like to ease with replacement?

How often do you need to wash the hair, too often will over stimulate those glands which product the oils to keep scalp and hair healthy.  MayB talking to a stylist might help?  It mayB that a change of shampoo is required.

Hi,

I have struggled with this for many years and found the only way to combat it is by using residue removing shampoos.  Many of my family members are hairdressers and they told me that whilst our hormones do massively affect this,  the shampoos we use can also contribute as they end up leaving product in your hair rather than removing it.  Combined with hormones it can make the hair extra greasy.

I use molton brown's indian cress purifying shampoo which really helps.  It's not cheap but it does last me about 3 months and that's using it 2-3 times a week.  The other one I'm trying is colour wow but there are lots of different ones out there that do the same job,  they just happen to be the ones I've found that work for me.

Might be worth giving something a go as it has really helped calm my oily hair.  Before the shampoos I was feeling like I couldn't go more than a day between washes,  now I find that I can easily go 3 days without too much of a problem.
