I am probably about to book an easy walking/food theme  holiday in Puglia and Basilicata (Matera) in Italy for May. Have to sort my travel insurance renewal first. I already have a short river cruise from Paris booked in March but the weather not be that good by then.

'from Paris to ? ' and March can bring surprises .  My sister used to take 5 day cruises down the Rhine etc. or longer trips where she got off on day trips to various places.  Less choppy than the Med.  ;)

We had a lovely holiday over Xmas/ new year.
However, I've been fighting a heavy cold since the forth day there. Or there about. Still got it now, covid test negative,  so must be just a virus.
Cough is driving me mad, it's loosened up now tho, & I don't particularly feel poorly, it's just such a nuisance.  🤷‍♀️
Everywhere we went on holiday,  someone somewhere was coughing and spluttering.  🤧
Was hot there though,  we couldn't have asked for better weather. 😃

Put a coat, gloves and hat on Girl  ;D

I haven't thought about going anywhere. Yet.  Get the snowy weather out of the way then decide.

There is a throat/chest virus doing the rounds.  No runny nose or sneezing with it.  The cough lasts for weeks  >:(

As well as being cooped up when traveling  >:(.  Lots of fluids, paracetamol and nurofen.  Warm baths.  Hot water bottle and Kleenex .

My son's had it 5 weeks now, keeps feeling better for a  couple of days then it starts up again.  Covid negative also.

Ok, its a sore throat, cough and aching all over and tired. He just don't seem to be able to completely shift it. Might need antibiotics.
