BV/VA or something else?
« on: December 14, 2024, 07:35:45 PM »

Does this sound like VA/BA? I have had couple of instances of very light Bleeding, urgency to urinate with burning and pain. I am 18 months without a period. Visit to dr and got a swab test, had thrush and a small cervical polop. Thought that was it, but received a letter for an appointment to the PMB clinic. Now I am paranoid and have period like pains :o is this normal practice. Thanks for any advice

Forgot to say not on HRT, though was doing well without it!

Yep.   Normal for checking the size of polyps.  I would be asking for appropriate vaginal atrophy treatment . Bleeding can be caused when the tissues are thin and dry and VA mimics repeated urine infection-type symptoms really, really well  >:(

It mayB that your body is trying to bleed, mine periods waxed and waned for a few years.

:welcomemm:  browse round.  Make notes. Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress. Let us know how you get on!
