Positive Post re HRT
« on: December 12, 2024, 08:42:24 PM »

Hi everyone,

Hope all is ok and looking forward to Christmas.

I just wanted to give a little update so far. I started on HRT patches (Evorel sequi) last Tuesday 3rd December, and I don’t know if this is a coinscidence but I have already noticed some improvements in symptoms. I havent had a hot flush in my cheeks since the patches went on, which I used to get nearly everyday before, I’m noticing less hair loss coming out in the brush/shower, I have literally no aches and pains now in my joints and my mood feels more level. I’m not getting rage or tears at all. I realise this may change when I start the second half of the patches (conti) as that one has progesterone in where as this one is oestrogen only. I just know it’s made me feel loads better already. All those months of the doctors telling me there was nothing wrong and I knew it was my hormones fluctuating with peri menopause. I’m 37 and I fought and fought until I got to see the right doctor for treatment and so pleased I did.

Ah, that's really good to hear. I'm so glad you got some HRT. Document your symptoms and progress, as sometimes it can all become a blur...! Then you can tell the doctor what got better, when...
