Hi ladies,
I asked about placing my Ovestin in the fridge and I had some very knowledgeable answers from a few of you (thank you).
I was having a nasty VA flare, as though the Ovestin had stopped working and I was back at square one. It was here I saw a thread about putting creams in the fridge. I live in Australia and a few weeks back we had a mini heat wave. I didn't think much of it, but I filled a new prescription for Ovestin 3 days ago and put the creams in the fridge. I spoke to the pharmacist, and he was incredibly helpful. He said absolutely put the creams in the fridge from late spring until late autumn here in Australia. I switched to the new refrigerated tube and boom, symptoms subsided within 12 hours.
So, for anyone not sure or worried about the creams getting a bit warm - it does happen, and the active ingredient is very susceptible to heat degradation. Putting them in the fridge cannot damage them and ensures your cream works 100%.
