I take vitamin D from October to March, as we don't get enough strong sumlight in the UK to make it in our skin then.

I take a combi capsule of iron, B12 and B6 but not everyday. Find I lose hair if my iron levels get too low. I probably don't need so much iron now I've got the Mirena and no longer have a monthly bleed.

I also take magnesium citrate most days for energy.

It probably depends what kind of foods you eat as to what is helpful. it's better to get most of your vitamins and minerals from your diet if you can.

Other than VitD capsules 1 shouldn't' require any supplements.

Sometimes in peril menopause we have to review our overall diet.  MayB jot down what you eat/drink over the next 5 days/nights and see whether you need to alter anything: cutting out or adding into what you eat.

Tinned and frozen food stuffs are good as products are canned within hours of being harvested.  Although peas do have colour added as they bleach when cooked!   ::)

How do U feel overall?

I have a varied and balanced diet but if I don't take supplements my vitamin levels are atrocious.

GP's will prescribe if deficient but once within the NHS ranges (which are ridiculously wide), they stop prescribing so you need to supplement yourself to keep your levels up.

I take:
Vitamin D3 with K2 - year round
Magnesium
B Complex - methylated as it's biology active (Occasionally a separate B12 and a Folate)
Iron - separate from everything else as it can affect absorption.
A probiotic.

I never took supplements when younger but this ageing body needs help and I wouldn't be without VitD3, B12, Zinc, probiotic and L-Choline.
Although I have a very healthy diet and lifestyle I still need help with supplements to keep me healthy in old age.

I currently take magnesium glycinate, D3 and turmeric. The magnesium seems to help the most with sleep and mood.

I had an urge to buy vit B12, folic acid and take occasionally vit D and magnesium (had vit D below tolerance not so long ago). Turned out with my latest bloods that B12 and folic acid are borderline low, so I am going with my gut now about most things  ;D

I take:

B12 spray
D plus K2 spray
Half dose iron spray
Vit c (to help iron absorb)
Seabuckthorn oil
Magnesium bisglycinate

And recently started glucosimine and chrondroitin for joint pain.

I was merrily taking a multivit spray too, but my folate was high on latest blood test. So I've dropped that for a bit.

My B12 looked a great level on those bloods.  ;)
