I am on Femosten,

There is no reason to come off it at all, you can keep taking it until you die ( albeit a lower dose). Tablet HRT is less risky than smoking, drinking and obesity
 statistically.  There may be a slight risk with the gallbladder as it processes through the liver. But if you are healthy you can carry on. You absolutely don't need to stop if you feel well. HRT has lots of protective elements . Once your stop your risk of heart disease  for instance elevates to that of men. HRT is protective .

I asked my GP why he wanted me off and told him that he would have to prize it out of my cold dead hands  ;).

Well done for standing your ground pepperminty - it's similar to it being a brave person who separates me from chocolate!
