Cycle variations
« on: November 10, 2024, 03:00:00 PM »

Hello all. My cycles seem to be going haywire. Been on Evorel Sequi 50mcgs for a year. Nurse is considering increasing my dose when I get blood test results next week and introducing utrogestan tablet.

Just had one 43 day cycle, then 35 day, now I’ve got my period again today 11 days after the last but with no warning symptoms like usual painful breasts but painful cramps and clotting.

Bleeding without the usual premenstrual symptoms is likely the result of anovulatory cycles which are common in perimenopause.

If you have no contraindications, a birth control pill taken continuously can be a better way to deal with this.

I don't bleed at all on mine, I don't even keep any sanitary products in the house just in case.

Thank you, that's really helpful.  Will discuss at my next appointment.  :)
