HRT Confusion
« on: November 02, 2024, 12:29:44 PM »

Hi. New to the forum x
I'm 54 and had been on Evorel Sequi for 3 years.
I'm not sure if I'm post or peri as I had no period for about 11 months before I started hrt but have had a withdrawal period every month on Sequi.
I recently changed to continuous (utrogestan 100 and oestrogel 1 pump)
I take the utrogestan vaginally.
My confusion is that my doctor said to adjust the oestrogel as needed. My hot flushes are back and while I know I need to give it time to settle in I don't know if I need more or less oestrogel.
I am sleeping better which is a great bonus but am finding it all very confusing and reading conflicting advice online as to whether to increase or decrease to help with the hot flushes so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi hot flushes are usually a sign of low oestrogen.

If you were on Evorel Sequi then you have lowered the dose of oestrogen by only using 1 pump of Oestrogel, so it could be this which is causing a return of symptoms.  The equivalent dose would be 2 pumps.
