Criky that's a tale and a half! Did u have any replacement therapy since?

I went through early menopause 20 years ago when I was 41.
Back in May/June this year I had post menopausal bleeding, I had an emergency appointment for all the tests and I ended up at the hospital in gynae having a hysteroscopy. I had biopsies taken (luckily all clear) and was diagnosed with a thickened uterus.
. were you given pain relief/GA for this procedure?
I was offered the coil or norethiserone tablets, I refused the coil and opted for the tablets which I took one 3 times a day. I went back for a follow up at the end of last month and had more biopsies taken and a polyp removed (thankfully again all clear).
Then I had a letter from the gynae dr and she said I could now stop taking the norethisterone. . any particular reason given? With those symptoms as below, I would be on the phone to that Doctor/Ward asking for more advice. Although you don't need to lay it on thick I would suggest that you tell who ever you speak to that you 'can't take any more' and if necessary, present yourself on the Ward if all else fails.
Unless some1 experiences these types of pain with flooding they cannot understand how awful this is!!
I had similar symptoms during my menstruating years until I went onto The Pill, the cramps were beyond explanation

. I suggest that you ring a pharmacist for advice on pain relief, there is a drug that stops heavy bleeding too ......... 1 can take a mix of paracetamol and ibuprofen which the pharmacist can advise on. There are co-codamol products but these leave me on the floor after the 2nd pill

. U don't have to suffer!
[I stopped taking it on the Monday 7th of this month and on Friday 11th I had the period from hell. Heavy bleeding like you wouldn't believe with large clots of blood, changing pads and underwear like they're going out of fashion and the pain, don't get me started on the pain.
[I've been doubled up with the pain, I can't sleep because of it. I've been getting up about 3 times a night to change my pad and then yesterday during the day it felt like it was easing up but last night nope I was back to paracetamol and a hot water bottle with no let up. Today I am still expelling large clots of blood and it still feels like someone is poking the pointy end of a sharp knife into the left side of my uterus.
[I had the same thing happen to me 18 months ago and had the same treatment but when I stopped taking the tablets I had about 36 hours of continuous pain and passed a decidual cast where the whole lining sheds in one go or in my case it was two huge lumps.
[This was very painful and the pain's been likened to having a miscarriage but as soon as it left my body it was like peace had desended, no more bleeding or pain just relief and life returned to normal.
[This time I am seeing no end to this. I do realise that my thickened uterus won't just dissolve and has to come out but I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and how long this will go on for or any top tips for allieviating the pain. The heavy bleeding I can deal with but the pain is getting to be unbearable].
