Apparently it was early evening, i.e. 8-ish.  So on with winter coat and hat later ...........

I was collecting my son from pipeband and everyone was putting pics up from my town but I couldn't see them. Maybe my phone would have picked them up or I was in an area too well lit. Will try tonight

Saw them at midnight but not impressive at all. If I hadn't known to look for them I'd have thought it was just a bit of streaky white cloud.

It's often only when you take a photo that the colours show up. That's what I found last night anyway. Had a look outside the pub around 10 and wasn't impressed but a friend showed me a photo he'd just taken, which was stunning, so I did the same.

Wonder why that might be  :-\ ......... what am I looking for, there's a lot of cloud around plus stars and a satellite going over  ::)
