Yes i had heard that about steroids but would try anything lol !
The itch is mostly around labia & vulva not so much the vagina. It feels moist and not dry so confused what it causing it. I have tried vagisil prohydrate and in2mate natural moisturiser with limited effect. i will give the ky jelly a shot.

It's the Trial and Error that can be so tiring.  Do U use cotton undies with no panty liners?

If your gp won't prescribe a more frequent dose another option would be to use Gina which you can buy otc.

Pebbles, I just wanted to chime in after reading this thread. I was misdiagnosed for nearly 14 years when all along I had VA. But the treatment of x2 week didn't work. At the time Dr Currie (who replied on this thread) was doing email consults and she advised I would need it x5 or x7 weekly pessaries plus the cream. I sent this to my GP but still had to do a lot of arguing to get the treatment,  then my pharmacist didn't want to give it to me! But just over 6 months on that dose and things are slowly improving but the itch does seem to take the longest to go. So do persevere and be patient. If you can get a High dose and use the cream twice a day as I do, I'm sure you'll slowly improve. I use coconut oil for a moisturiser and after 3 months applying it once the cream has soaked in and after each time I pee, the last of the itching is really improving.  Get the right dose and keep going, it will get better.
