Reducing Then Stopping Testogel
« on: October 03, 2024, 09:48:27 AM »

Hi all,

I have been going back through my notes since I started Testogel at the end of May 23 and whilst it has been great for libido, I'm not convinced it has improved much else. I have still been struggling with lethargy and days when my brain stays in bed.
That said I am better than I was, when I was at my worst.
Its so hard to be able to look back at myself, my moods etc with a clear head, when I'm not even sure my head is clear!

So, I am currently reducing my Testogel with a view to coming off it completely.

I have been taking it over 9 days since Dec, now I am doing the same little splodge every other day, meaning a sachet will last about 16 days and depending on how I am feeling I'll eventually stop.

They say it takes 3 to 6 months to feel the effect, so I am guessing it will stay in my system for months too?

Has anyone else reduced their Testogel in this way and finally stopped it?

Have you had any regrets coming off it?

Thanks all

If it hasn't helped in the way you'd have liked and you plan to come off, there is little point in weaning down gradually, you can just stop it.

Going off testogel is akin to a younger woman going onto birth control, which massively lowers endogenous testosterone production.

Nobody weans gradually onto that.

Also if you do stop it outright it makes it easier to tell whether you miss it or not. If you do it gradually it can be hard to assess any impact of stopping.

Thanks for that bombsh3ll, I just assumed it would be better to reduce it than stop it outright, though I haven't been able to find anything supporting my theory!
