Hi
Feeling some side affects from progesterone. On 14 days on 14 days off.
Can I use two tablets at night vaginally? And sorry if TMI but do I have to insert it quite far in?
Thanks

Hi nowt is too much info on here ........ we've seen it and felt it all !

How many weeks have U been using this?  It's not a drug which I am familiar with, hopefully some1 will be along with advice.

In the meantime, you could look up 'gepretix' in the search box and read any threads.  If none there, do tell us more.

What your periods were doing, which symptom you would like to ease first etc..

Thanks for replying! It’s just progesterone like utrogestan. I have been on HRT for 3 months now and started with mirena coil and estrogel. But the coil did not suit me so I am on progesterone tablets however feeling quite a lot of side effects from this when on the 14 days using them.

I am just not sure on vaginal use as it’s off license.

Many of us use it vaginally. The normal dose for utrogestan is 2x100mg x 12 days, days 15-26. Just push ot up as far as you can.  I'm assuming gepretex use is the same as utrogestan as it's supposed to be the cheaper replacement for it.

I was changed from utrogestan to gepretix and I notice no difference, other than the gepretix capsule is more oval shaped.

Hi there, I was moved on to Gepretix progesterone from Utrogestan 3 months ago and I keep waking at night. My sleeping is not as good as when I was on Utrogestan, so I’m going to ask for Utrogestan when I have my review at the doctors this week.

Hello ladies.

I wonder if Gepretix has a weaker effect? If so this may cause problems for some of us but it might be a bonus for anyone struggling with Utrogestan.

Just a thought ladies.

Wishing you all well.

I’m off to the gp this morning regarding this as orally the tablets are irritating my stomach. The prog patch gives me awful side effects.
I will see what my gp says.

Not to invalidate the experiences of women who have had issues with Gepretix, I just started back on it after utro, and not noticed anything. Maybe it affects women differently.

I was swapped to these about 9 months ago and haven’t felt any difference.
