High Testosterone Bloods
« on: September 30, 2024, 02:20:38 PM »

Hello all,

Last year I had my bloods taken for my first Newsons Testogel prescription.  I was spreading my testogel over the standard 8 days. The first test showed 3.0, I was called in by my GP to repeat the test, results showed 1.8, they seemed ok with it being that.

Last week I went in to have my bloods done again. Only difference is I have reduced my testogel to spreading it over 9 days. The result has just come back at 6.1.
I am now waiting for my GP to get in touch and there is a note about needing an appointment and sending result to hospital clinic.
I feel fine. No beard etc. I have had irregular bleeding and cramps, but I was tweaking my HRT back in Spring so that is to be expected for up to 6 months.

I have an appointment for more testogel via Newsons in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone else experienced such high levels and still been able to stay on Testogel? Or had really high results that then dropped to normal?

I know these testosterone tests are not reliable, but I was expecting it to be much much lower, having reduced the dose. I am torn between being concerned and just cross.

Thanks all

NHS will only measure your testosterone levels whereas as Newson use your FAI.    My level went high last year and I had to reduce my dose but over time it has dropped again and I'm back on the 8 day dose. Some side effects are irreversible so I would be cautious about continuing with such a high reading. I'd suggest a blood test via Newson to check your SBHG.
