Starting HRT
« on: September 28, 2024, 10:11:17 PM »

I have my first patch on tonight. Fingers crossed I’ll get the benefits without negative side effects.

I hope you’re doing ok. I started Evorel 50 patches mid-July and started to notice an improvement in my symptoms after about a week but it’s been a rollercoaster ride of symptoms flaring back up until finally 3 months in I finally feel ‘back to my usual self’. I just want to encourage others to keep going and get through this. I read in this forum that another woman had changed her patches every 3 days and left the old patch on for 12/24 hours. This advice was a game changer for me. I was really careful and worked out the plan for the month ahead and it has really helped to keep me on an even keel. I am planning to continue with this for a little longer then move to changing every 3.5 days. Maybe eventually I’ll be able to manage to change according to the pack instructions of 3 then 4 days by the end of the year! NB: Changing every 3 days requires about two additional patches a month that I took from a spare box the GP gave while I was getting used to sticking them on. Sending you all good luck 😉
