Taking so long, tenderness and bloating
« on: September 26, 2024, 07:25:53 PM »

From a previous post,
Referred under the 2 week pathway 4 weeks ago for pmb,
Had an ultrasound done 2 weeks ago and has been referred back to the hospital for an hysteroscopy
Endo 6mm
Waiting for an appointment, not one even allocated yet,

Still bleeding .....

Hoping that lack of appointment is a good thing ( trying to read it that way)

Pelvic area feels tender, bloated and burning

Just wish that an appointment would come through so I can feel that something is happening

That is a long wait, gillybilly. I knowledge it's easy to say and hard to do but if you take a look on the forum you'll see how many of us experience bleeding and other issues, have a hysteroscopy and in the end it's usually nothing serious if anything at all. (That includes me too). But I had had mine done within 3 weeks of my first phone call to the GP.
Obviously your GP is aware of your history and we're not so I would do the same as you and take the wait as a positive. You didn't mention bleeding so perhaps that's why? In my case that was my only symptom.
There was a lady on here end of last year beginning of this who was terrified of the long wait for her hysteroscopy. She had a huge amount of pain, more thickening than you and other things going on. She worried herself sick and finally once she eventually got the results, everything was fine.

What's 'pmb'  :-\

Could you go for a cancellation appt at short notice, when someone decides that they don't need an appt.?  If so ring the Dept and offer up your details.  NHS is understaffed in many depts so the 2 week referral pathway is out the window.

Post menopausal bleeding

They have my details, I'm always available at short notice

It would just be nice to get an appointment, I feel I'm in limbo at the moment

The bleeding might be a good thing as it will thin the lining. I think they're more concerned if it's lumpy. 2mm too thick but smooth is far from the worst they could have found, though I agree it's always worrying when you have to wait.
