Bad batch?
« on: September 20, 2024, 06:36:46 AM »

Hi all
Ive been on Evorel 100 patches a good few years now, maybe 4 or 5, and they've been working perfectly fine but the last few weeks my sleep has been poor, am waking up early hours and not going back to sleep, I'm having a massive crash in energy mid afternoon, am aching, low mood and headaches, and these are the main symptoms I experienced before HRT. I feel absolutely lousy this morning.
I did start a new box of patches a few weeks ago so could it be possible its a bad batch or just coincidence?

Perhaps your own supply of oestrogen has reduced?

Would that happen so quickly? If it has I don't think my GP would want to increase my patch

Unfortunately yes it can. Might be worth trying a different batch but I would have expected we'd have heard on the forum if there was a problem. I'm in pretty much the same boat, already on 100mcg patch and symptoms creeping in again, gp who sticks religiously to the guidelines. I have a couple of bottles of gel left so I'm adding a bit extra, after that I expect I'll have to go private and hope gp will give me what they prescribe.

Just picked up my new boxes so will try one of those. I had some spare gel so have used a pump of that for a couple of days. Had a slump today but not as bad as the last week. If it carries on to nexr week I will make an appointment with the GP

Hi,

Not sure if it’s a coincidence but I was taken off Evorel 50 3 weeks ago after my oestrogen plummeted to 88. Had no issues with Evorel previously but following your post with interest.
The patches I was on have an exp date of 04/25.

allie, there was something on Instagram about Estradots being bought by another company which has changed the adhesive and women reporting symptoms returning.

It's probably best to try an increase or a change of brand.

I'm on Estradot 100s as well but have just started them since this  change so I'm probably on the new ones...

I tried Estradot initially, was good to begin with but after a few months symptoms returned so I was given Everol. Somethings not right because ive noticed my hair is shedding more this last week aswell which was another symptom. Put the new patch on last night so will give it a week. Just checked the old batch and its dated 12/2025
