Post menopause bleed after steroid

After a steroid injection just under two
Weeks ago, I started spotting. I've been on HRT for years. Had polyps removed two years ago. Checked online and it seems steroid injections can cause bleeding. I'm now due an ultrasound. Clearly I'm worried but it does seem a coincidence it came after the steroid. Anyone experienced this.
