Just biddling/searching on laptop and Ovesse 1mg/g cream came up,

Sold by Boots but still made by Aspen the company that makes Estriol 1mg/g (old Ovestin).

Has anyone tried it at all ? I'm assuming that the formula would have to be different to Estriol 1mg/g although made by the same company ?

Not heard about it but wonder if this is a similar situation to Vagifem on prescription and Gina on sale in Boots? Both identical ingredients but Gina made for OTC.

Same active ingredient as Estriol, does it mention cost? Estriol at Superdrug is £55.

  Not really Ayesha it popped up on a list when I was looking & thought I’d not seen it before.

I will ask at the pharmacy Dierdre & Jenna when next in Boots. You are both probably right.

Just bought this in Boots on offer at moment with money off.

Lady on counter asked pharmacist for me who said it is the same as Estriol 1 mg/g made by Aspen it was next to Gina on shelf. No quibble just bought it but was asked if I was familiar with it.

I like to have extra supplies but with Superdrug selling Estriol at £55 that was never going to be an option for me mainly because I thought it a scandalous price for a very small tube.

Anyways, very grateful to you for finding this alternative

Just proves how safe Estriol and Vagifem are now to be sold OTC. Some doctors who are still rationing these products or refusing to prescibe both need to be made aware.

I've just looked at this but it's only a 15gm tube so £19.99 not that cheap as my estradiol tube is 80mg

The tube I get prescribed from the GP has always been a 15gm tube containing Estriol and not Estradiol. One tube will last me three months so I would say a good buy for me.

Yours must be the weaker 0.01% cream, you have to use alot more to get the same dosage as the 0.1% Estriol 15g tube.

Estriol is more potent than Estradiol with the latter being the Vagifem pessary widely prescribed. I think I've got that right, names are so similar which can be confusing for my little brain.

I’m not sure Ive read that Estradiol is the stronger oestrogen 💪but also read that they act equally. 👯‍♀️

Estrace cream that you can get in the US & Canada contains estradiol you can’t get it here in uk.

Thank you but as far as I am aware estradiol is the stronger one, I will look into it. As you say names are so similar it does get confusing.
