I have been taking Utrogestan cyclically as I still have periods (very light ones past year)
I have been taking it from day 15 for 12 days a month. Usually start my period within 5 days of stopping. This time I think it was something like 8-10 days before my period started.
I am now unsure of when I should take Utrogestan again, stick with day 15 or go with when I think I have ovulated?
I am on day 6 now (from day 1 of my period) but pretty sure my body is still ovulating when it used to even though I bled. I feel I am around ovulation now so my body is still working with my natural cycle although the bleed dates have changed, if that makes sense.
I have always suffered with pmdd so I know how my body feels when I am ovulating, plus the discharge pattern etc.
Wondering that even though my period was only 6 days ago that I should start the Utrogestan again now otherwise I wouldn't actually ne getting the suggested amount over a 4 week period.
Hope someone understands this, struggling with a way to explain this in simple terms.
Also.....does anyone take Utrogestan continuously whilst they still have a cycle because in the beginning I felt that the Utrogestan really lowered my mood but this month I actually felt calmer on it then off it and when I finished my 12 days of Utrogestan I felt horrendous for days afterwards.
Starting to think more of a continuous dose of both estrogen and progesterone would suit someone like me best
