Itchy scalp
« on: August 23, 2024, 07:19:37 AM »

Hello
I’m 55 and currently on 3mg Sandrena gel plus Ovestin cream and vagirux for VA having been on oestrogel for 8 months and prior to that Evorel Conti patches for 5 years and am having a very itchy scalp - I read that this can happen with lack of oestrogen. I’ve tried using T Gel shampoo but to no avail, can anyone recommend a shampoo that will help please.

Am in Ireland and use an Aussie brand called Moogoo. It's the only thing that helped my itchy scalp. It's pricy but I was going crazy from the itch. They also have a scalp cream that I use 1 or 2 times a week .

Thank you, Bungo, I will investigate this as it’s driving me mad the creeping sensation, and no, I don’t have nits!! ;D

Still wondering if anyone else gets the very sore scalp around the crown of your head and crawling feeling on scalp - mine is sporadic and has to be linked to the oestrogen as it comes and goes with the ongoing bleeding issues I’ve been experiencing. Have been using the Moogoo which seems to help. Just interested to see if many people experience this?
