Hello, newbie here…but I have been reading posts for months & this forum has been so helpful in reading other peoples experiences. Thank you!
I started hrt back in May…Evorel 50 & utrogestan (2x100mg) for 12 days. I suppose I am looking for some advice/reassurance regarding utrogestan vaginally. I did 3 months orally, & it didn’t agree with me (raging pms symptoms for 3 weeks of the month). I agreed to try it vaginally before I try other Hrt…I did the 12 days and all has been well, minimal side affects & feeling pretty good! However it’s now been 6 days since my last dose, & I still don’t have a bleed. Can that be the case after changing to vaginally whilst things adjust, or could it be I’m not absorbing it properly? Is that possible? I had quite heavy bleeds when taking orally (I’m used to quite light periods)…so it feels a bit odd, I’m in that odd limbo stage!

I would give it another couple if cycles. It could be there hasn't been enough build up to bleed now or if could be your own hormones overriding the hrt and you'll bleed according to your cycle.

It has a stronger effect on the endometrium when taken vaginally due to first pass effect, so there may be less/no lining to shed.

Depending on where you are, if you remain bleed free you might be able to switch to continuous and avoid the withdrawal bleeds.
