Haa anyone had light bleeding whilst taking continual proverb and estrogen? It's very light, no pain and smear is up to date.
I have health anxiety so I'm worried. Any advice?

Morning.  It doesn't take much to worry us does it!  Hopefully some1 will be along, otherwise but the product names into the search box: individually : 2 read the threads.  It may be 'within normal limits' when beginning HRT.

Bleeding on continuous HRT is common and happens from time to time for various reasons.  I became a bit slap happy with the Oestrogel and it happened to me but I have regular TVS scans and a thin womb lining so I didn't worry about it.

The reason for the bleed can be not enough progesterone, overdoing the oestrogen like me and the progesterone doing its job and shedding the excess lining or it can mean you are getting a build up of womb lining.  If you are taking progesterone every day, it's probably not excessive build up and more likely to be adjustment.

Do you have regular scans?  Are you post menopause?

I am perimenopausal - I am a but slap happy with the gel. I've never had a tvs but I'm up to date with cervical smears.  Thanks!

This is a common symptom during perimenopause and also a common side effect on hormone therapy.

It only needs to be checked out if

a) you have gone a year or more without a period and then bled

AND

b) you haven't changed your HRT regime in the last 6 months.

OR you have additional symptoms such as unusual pain or discharge.

I think my previous regime may be better and allow myself the period then do two weeks on and off the progesterone x

Dawn, you can do a half and half version of things which is what I do. You take P continuously but you stop for 3-5 days once a month to allow a bleed. This schedules the bleed so it occurs due to low progesterone and it doesn't worry anyone because it's not unscheduled bleeding. I do this every 26 days. If I start to bleed a little early, I stop then instead. This is the old continuous regime so it's perfectly safe but it also means you can take P most of the time.

Oh the irony! Day 5 off progesterone and no period and the light spotting has stopped!!!!
