Yes we have to advocate for ourselves which I’ve learned .. can I ask what is cyclical HRT .. is it estrogen and progesterone only on certain days if your cycle?
My Dr said women who go through IVF can have an acceleration of stmpyfor menopause .. don’t know if this is related to PCOS.. I’m so happy to hear you are getting relief …

Thank you Pearg. That's right cyclical is when you take estradiol every day but progesterone only during the second half of your cycle, usually 12 days, though some recommend 14-15. This is the usual regime in perimenopause because you're still getting a period, even if it's not that regular anymore.

But some doctors will give you a continuous regime anyway even if you're in peri, that's what my first doctor did and to be honest it didn't work very well for me, as I didn't notice much improvement in my worst symptoms. Also I was bleeding for most of the time, and my breasts felt very sore and heavy.

I don't know, it's such an individual thing, it may work for you, I guess it's something you have to try for yourself to see how your body likes it.

I hope you get your consultation and treatment soon, it would be interesting to know how you get on.
