Hi everyone,
I am not able to comment on this particular case, I think professional advice should be seeking and obviously NHS should deal with sorting out peri symptoms first.
Over the counter hormonal creams contain real hormones and because absorption rate of progesterone is 20%, it means amount of progesterone, which goes systemic is higher, than from Mirena coil for example. What actually you can get using any hormonal products, solely depends on your body individual sensitivity and absorption levels. And don’t forget, using hormonal cream means that a certain amount of hormones remain in the skin cells, so the body can use them later, when actually the body decides to do that, so you really can’t predict that. I am personally using Wellspring products, it is milder for me than using HRT, which was too much for my body due to high sensitivity level to sex hormones, which my body has. It is very easy for me to overdose even Wellsprings believe me or not and it does make significant changes to my body, because of that reason I don’t use it every day and in doses, which are recommended by the company, I am not an average lady and those doses are still too high for me.
