I’m 32 and in surgical menopause. I’ve had a rocky ride and been supper sensitive to HrT / had absorption issues.
I’m finally settled on Lenzetto Spray which blood tests show I am absorbing but I still just feel totally drained, depressed, awful brain fog, no motivation or zest for life. I’ve tried micronised progesterone even though I don’t have a womb and I’ve tried testosterone, both didn’t agree with me at all. I take a good quality multivitamin and have B12 injections via the GP. My life is totally ruined, I used to be so outgoing, confident and full of life and now I’m the absolute opposite and can’t function / get through the day.

Anyone got any advice?

I’ve come accross Tibolone HrT online which says it’s particularly affective for people with low mood and fatigue? Has any one tried this?

Morning.  HRT can be Trial and Error which in itself can be tiring.

Why did U need surgical menopause ....... which symptoms were troublesome enough?

Which HRT have you trialled this far?  Some take 3-4 months for the body to recognise replacement.

Hi Jessianner,

It’s not sex hormones themselves, which make ours lives bright and healthy, it’s more about how right they are balanced between each other. HRT doesn’t always guarantee that. Sometimes it’s a hard job to find that right balance. Tibolone can make good job for you, because your body can decide itself what it needs. I personally don’t have this experience, but there are some ladies in here, who tried or still are taking Tibolone. Their experiences are different, some of them like it and some of them could not tolerate it. Talk to your GP about it. In my medical centre GP is not allowed to prescribe this drug, they need to do referral to gynaecologist/ meno specialist. But I would definitely try it, if nothing else helps.

Hi I am sorry you're dealing with that at such a young age.

I've no personal experience with tibolone (yet) it is something I am interested in when the time comes for me to graduate from the combined pill, but I know someone who is taking it, also after a surgical menopause after not getting on with traditional HRT, and she absolutely loves it. She is working out now and has really turned her life around and lost a significant amount of weight.

I just want to say that given your age, please persevere with trying to find something that suits you, because it's really important for your future bone and cardiometabolic health.

Thank you for the encouragement AngelaH 🙏  I hadn’t considered that before about tibolone in that your body can decide where to utilise it and might provide more balance between the three hormones. I am already under nhs meno specialist so will definitely speak to her about prescribing it 🙏 x

That said, I’m in my 50s so much older and went through a natural menopause four years ago so obviously my circumstances are very different. But I do find the androgenic component is good for mood and I feel much more balanced and ‘myself’ than I have for ages. This is only my personal experience of course.

I echo bombsh3ll’s comments that you definitely need some form of HRT for your health, being so young, so please do persevere. And I’m really sorry you’re experiencing all this at your age.

I had first ovary removed at age 13 due to a benign teratoma on the ovary. Then had the other ovary removed at 30 with a full hysterectomy, again because of a benign teratoma tumour on the ovary. The ovary had already started failing / dying before I had the surgery so was in menopause since 28 but docs wouldn’t prescribe HrT until after full hysterectomy.
I’ve tried oestrogel, Sandrena gel, Estradot patches, Evorel patches, Cyclogest, Testogel, Bijuve, Elleste Solo and another brand of oral estrogen that I can’t remember the name of. On Lenzetto currently x

Quality of Life is important!  I don't know why HRT wasn't prescribed when you were younger due to protecting bones especially.
