I've been unwell for the last 3 weeks with what started as an ear virus causing vertigo then painful blocked eustachian tube and now worsened tinitis. My anxiety has relapsed, not surprisingly (but I'd been doing so well after my therapy) so the doctor prescribed citalopram. I read the leaflet and terrified myself and scared to take them. Didn't really want to go down this road anyway so I'm thinking herbal.
Can anyone recommend what's worked for them and where to get it from please?
I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks and might cancel if I feel like this still so has to be something that works quick.
I've had vertigo and weird symptoms all week and my anxiety has shot up, worrying about it.
Honestly what works for me the best is not to think ahead for the day, try to stay in the moment. Self care and maybe just putting on a movie if you can or some other form of self help resource.
I am on beta blockers, I don't recommend them long term at all due to weight gain, slowing metabolism, etc, and I wasn't put on them for anxiety, but I know some doctors will use them for anxiety and the smallest dose can create a change in how you're feeling within minutes. I'm not a doctor and I really don't recommend them long term, but I wonder if they would help you for a few weeks? Is it worth asking a doctor and seeing what they think? Only an idea.
Anyway, I'm feeling pretty rubbish so you've a sympathetic ear here (or private message) if you want, I'll be back tonight (but don't feel you have to, I just want you to know that I will be around as sometimes I disappear)
