Hello all - been a while since i posted on here! (Around a year and half ago maybe?)

All has been alot better - as some of you may recall I was suffering extremely badly with Anxiety and depression (also went under the local Crisis Team and off work for three months) - put on various antidepressants (I work in Broadmoor) to no avail - only to be told by a female ward Doc that i could be perimenopausal - which turned out I was due to me trying various HRT methods with slight improvement.

fast forwarding until around a year ago - I started taking Yasmin Pill as I had read various articles on here and other sources that said its great for stopping (or reducing) the hormones going up and down - wow did i see a difference!  - Chose yasmin after reading that the progesterone is meant to be the more kinder version. No problems at all.

I went from being an absolute wreck, severe bad moods, crying spells, hatred towards most people at work and my poor partner!!! To a calm, pleasant bubbly, laugh a minute type - as I used to be.
However, after some months I didnt feel like myself - was okay - but not where I wanted to be. So after seeking advice from another lady about returning night sweats, she said try the patch.
Rang GP told them about my meds etc - agreed for me to try Everol 50 - but also issued the 75 just incase.

I went up very slowly as i felt a bit jittery - with the extra Oestrogen. After some months started on the 75 but i measured it out first and cut it - to obtain a 60mg first - then up to 66mg. All was good.

The main area I still have (but got better initally - and seems to be alot more present more so lately) - Is the feeling of not being present in a room/group pf people/work meeting. Its like I'm dreaming - like i feel cloudy. I also have very bad eye floaters which I have had since all this started. Recent Eye test to rule everything out (including paying extra for a scan on the back of the eye) turned out normal.

I walked into town 2 days ago and felt like crying so badly. I felt down, hazy, in a dream - watching others looking "with it" and happy.

Just to note - I take Yasmin combined pill alongside the Everol patch (75 cut down to around 66mg)

GP is aware  and i have regular internal womb scans that I pay privately for - all have been normal.

I also take extra Progesterone (Provera tablets 10mg over the last 5 days of my 3 month yasmin back to back) then I allow a bleed.

I'm currently withdrawing from Provera which always makes me feel so terrible - very down, moody.

So - I wondered if anyone has had these feelings of not being present? And do you think I need to up my patch to say 70mg - 75mg?

Thanks xxx

  • changes can be scary, even when we want them

Sorry that I can't help.

My head feels 'out of it' most of the while and for several years I've not taken on board things that I've been told, what I read or programmes that I watch on TV.  But I don't have to engage with others ........ which would be a lot more difficult.

I think that Evorel 25 is the initial dose.  Perhaps put the product name into the search box and make notes?  Threads may give you a better clue as to the possibilities as I can.  Let us know how you get on?
